Ethics And Morals

As a small family concern we have been in the construction industry for over 70 years. Our work consists of both Public & Private Sector. Building Executive, Contemporary & Traditional Period Style Homes, House Extensions, Refurbishment’s, Alterations and all associated works.

We specialise in Listed Period Renovation using all forms of traditional skills and materials. We are an environmentally aware company with a 100% carbon offset policy.

We are an Equal Opportunity Employer and have a policy for this purpose.

Our investment in the future reflects the fact that a high percentage of our workforce are currently undertaking apprenticeships.

The company should be doing all it can to create an image of which the industry can be proud. All site areas, including the perimeters and any facilities, should be clean, tidy and well presented, and all materials stored neatly.

Systems should be in place so that construction work is carried out with care and consideration for the safety of the public as well as for those visiting and working on the sites.

No site should be a security risk to others.

The company should be aware of its obligations to personnel, act in a professional and conscientious manner, and play a part in the development of the industry's future workforce.

To operate in a professional, considerate, collaborative and safe manner whilst delivering projects to an exceptionally high standard.

Striving to exceed customer expectations in the finished product and the service we offer throughout the duration of a project.

Investing in the training and development of all those who are employed by the company to ensure they possess the skills, qualification and experience to help deliver our commitment to customers.

Ensuring that employees, and all those who work with and for the company do so in a safe working environment.

To maintain and further enhance our reputation for professionalism in our work as a local employer by virtue of our culture, policies and procedures.

Good looking and intelligent. Bob has all of the attributes of the Greek God, "Adonis". No words do justice to Bob!

Bridget Owen

I am Bridget's biggest fan and critic. Her ability to bring collaboration to all parties during a project is remarkable. She delivers an incredibly high quality finish and her attention to detail is second to none. She works longer and harder than anybody I know. A true inspiration to all women in the industry.

We worked with Bob Black Construction on the delivery of a four bed private house and I cannot recommend their services enough. Their attention to detail shone through from the tender stage, and this has followed through all the way to construction as they have diligently delivered our design details. They are professional whilst still bringing a lovely feeling of community to a build, for both the client + design team this was a great environment to be a part of. Their team of subcontractors were fantastic and reinforced their commitment to delivering a quality project. We would definitely work with them again given the chance and would recommend them to anyone looking for considerate contractors.

At Bob Black Construction we do our best to protect the environment and lower our carbon footprint. A few small things we do is to recycle as much of our waste as possible, return pallets to merchants and dispose of contentious materials correctly.

If we are in an area where there is a lot of rubbish we will do regular litter picks to clear up the area.

We have also got "Bobs Bike" which employees can use anytime they are going somewhere local to avoid them driving. Where possible all of our employees will vehicle share to lower emissions.

These are just a few examples of our green practises.

The construction industry is the 2nd largest contributor to plastic waste and here at Bob Black Construction we are doing our part to lower this. If we receive materials in excess packaging we will feedback this to the supplier so they can address the issue and implement practices to lower their own wastage.
